tn Storage & Accessories is a complete collection of office accessories and storage elements that is aimed for both sedentary and nomadic users whose work mobility makes even more significant the need to personalize the workspace. The use of the folded metal sheet has allowed to minimize the number of parts and combine the structural resistance with the softness of the rounded corners emphasizing the mobility of the accessories and their physical relationship with the user’s hand. Each element is a microarchitecture that is both independent and modular within a family of objects designed to allow endless compositions. The construction principle consists of folded metal embedded parts of an extreme geometric simplicity, the fruit of a judicious and invisible assembly system. Finally, the ad hoc metal painting process offers total flexibility for chromatic customization, from the most sober and classic monochrome tones to the bright double-tone color combinations.

The challenge of the STILT collection for District Eight comes first of all from the particular context: to design for an atypical Vietnamese company a collection of furniture that draws its inspiration from the culture of Vietnam, highlighting its tradition of craftsmanship while maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the manufacturing culture of contemporary European furniture.
The generous cushions, which offer extreme comfort thanks to a complex internal construction, are supported by a thin curved wooden shell, upholstered in fabric or leather, which seems weightless. The bearing structure is clearly distinct and consists of solid wooden logs with important sections like traditional Asian wooden constructions. However, the metal completes the construction, playing an essential role in stabilizing the structure while lightening the silhouette. As much as the wood is generous and round, as much the metal is its exact opposite. The logs with perfect verticality are indeed connected to each other thanks to a branched metal structure through recessed joints of apparent simplicity and immediate reading but made with cutlery precision and a mechanical design engineered to the smallest details.

The seating and backrest are shaped by a single leather piece stretched by belts on a complex frame in gun-metal chromed steel. The Dual Lounge is the fruit of a balanced combination of several character traits apparently in opposition.
Its monolithic and organic shape is divided in two by a clear-cut line: the upper part is enveloping and dedicated to the user comfort while the base is a subtle counterpoint of balance, tension and transparency.

Palmer is a modular sofa that defies the laws of gravity: the one-piece seat seems suspended, miraculously held by perimeter supports of the backrest, while the legs that bear the whole sofa mislead to fragility, as vegetal architecture.

The challenge of the STILT collection for District Eight comes first of all from the particular context: to design for an atypical Vietnamese company a collection of furniture that draws its inspiration from the culture of Vietnam, highlighting its tradition of craftsmanship while maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the manufacturing culture of contemporary European furniture. The generous cushions, which offer extreme comfort thanks to a complex internal construction, are supported by a thin curved wooden shell, upholstered in fabric or leather, which seems weightless. The bearing structure is clearly distinct and consists of solid wooden logs with important sections like traditional Asian wooden constructions. However, the metal completes the construction, playing an essential role in stabilizing the structure while lightening the silhouette. As much as the wood is generous and round, as much the metal is its exact opposite. The logs with perfect verticality are indeed connected to each other thanks to a branched metal structure through recessed joints of apparent simplicity and immediate reading but made with cutlery precision and a mechanical design engineered to the smallest details. STILT is the result of a quest for harmony in contrast. Blixen is an archaic chair in its principle but of great sophistication in its realization. The seating and backrest are shaped by a single leather piece stretched by belts on a complex frame in gun-metal chromed steel.
